Poetry X version 3.0 launches today as a part of the CSS Reboot project. The latest redesign features logins, favorites lists, streamlined poem pages, and a skinnable front-end.
The
Open Poetry Project is moving to a new home and with new wiki software.
The current system is a bit antiquated and hard to use. The
new system uses the same software as the popular
Wikipedia so visitors familiar with editing the Wikipedia will be comfortable editing the
Open Poetry Project.
We hope that some of you who added articles to the old site can help with migrating the old articles to the new site.
Jared Carter to Read | Poetry Contest Deadline Looms (14 December 2004)

We are pleased to announce that frequent Plagiarist.com and Poetry X contributor
Jared Carter has been invited to read his poetry at the Library of Congress on December 9th at 6:45PM. He will be introduced by U.S. Poet Laureate Ted Kooser. Details in the
press release.
Poetry Contest Deadline Approaches
We also wanted to remind our visitors that our
poetry contest (in association with our sister site,
Poetry X is still accepting entries. Deadline is 14 December 2004 and due to interest there may be more than one prize. It's our intention to give away 100% of the entry fees towards the prize fund - so tell your friends. The more that enter, the more you can win.
New Articles and Poems at Poetry X
As you may or may not know, we're in the process of moving our poetry archives to our sister site,
Poetry X.
We are also adding new exclusive material to Poetry X that will not appear on Plagiarist.com. This includes over 2,000 new poems that have never appeared on Plagiarist.com.
This week there are two new articles online at Poetry X:
The Lyric Temper, by Jared Carter, and
Words on Writing by Alex Boyd. Both address writing from a unique standpoint, and are entertaining as well as educational.
We'll keep you posted on new events as they unfold. In the meantime, if you'd like to meet Plagiarist.com and Poetry X creator Jough Dempsey he'll be attending Jared Carter's reading in Washington D.C. on December 9th. See the link below for details on when and where.

We've also begun a tiny bit of migration from Plagiarist.com to PoetryX.com - everything is still here at Plagiarist.com, but if the poems by a poet have been completely moved over to Poetry X (usually with additional poems added at the latter site) then you'll see a message saying that you're looking at an old archived version.
We're trying to keep the most updated and corrected versions of poem texts alive at Poetry X. We may even offer another contest (also with a cash award) as part of a "find errors and win" type of prize for people who spot the most mistakes.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported the site in the past few months. We appreciate everyone's links and positive word-of-mouth in bringing new readers to the site.

With the summer all but officially over, it's time again to return to poetry work here at Plagiarist.com.
As many of you may have already noticed, we spent the summer re-designing Plagiarist.com's sister site,
Poetry X.
In addition to the redesign, we are also focusing our efforts there, adding thousands of new poems, new articles, and a new feature, the
Poetry Xtras, some brief notes on poems by the poet or a critic who is expert in those poems.
The latest exciting addition is a mini-feature on poet

THE FUTURE OF PLAGIARIST.COM
To answer some questions we've been getting in e-mail: yes, eventually Poetry X will supplant the Plagiarist.com archive and this site will be used strictly for our online magazine, which will be finally launched in 2005 (which is really not all that far away).
In the meantime, we'd hate to break the internet for everyone.
