Can I ask who voted this poem ' terrible'?? I would really like to hear his or her reasoning. This is my favorite Shakespeare sonnet. It really demonstrates how timeless Shakespeare's words are. So many people, today, hundreds of years later, can relate to sonnet 29. It shows a person who feels disgraced and unhappy...but upon remembering the steadfast and love of someone...his/her state is elevated to that of kings.
