This poem makes me want to give the speaker (whether it's supposed to be Williams or not) a punch in the mouth!

Here is the young Miss Anderson, who has apparently been with 17 different men (she's no angel herself), and finally she is burdened with an unwanted pregnancy, and all the speaker does is stand off to one side and smirk for 6 lines of poetry, saying that God can always open up a can of divine whoop-a** on her, regardless of what the court says.

I'll bet he was the first; she left him for another guy and here he's saying, "This could have been much simpler if you'd stayed with me."
