Before more than 30 years, I read Rita the first time...
I asked, "Who is Rita?"
Every time after reading the poem I feel that, she is a beautiful, innocent and simple woman like everything in Palestine...
Who is Rita?
Palestine? Beirut? Or maybe a Palestinian mother who lost her son?
I don’t know... but what I can say that the English Rita is as beautiful as the Arabic “original” one.
