The poem would have been good and amusing if Collins hadn't tried to make us feel touched at the end. I can assure you, no tears coursed down my face, onions and trumpet or not. I like Collins, but this poem is just dumb.

Billy Collins is fantastic, so freewheeling, intuitive. it's true poetry. musing unfettered. How can you compare such drastically different poets Gluck and Collins. Retarded.
