I am currently doing poems by Robert frost for A-levels. All his poems have meanings beyond their title. This poem involves many different meanings. There are two main explanations to this: One is the growth of the plant and a baby. "Seedling" confirms it has something to do with plants and "arched body" suggests the figure is of a baby lying in a woman’s stomach.
