This poem has proved very dificult to understand on it's own, and as an assignment I have to do a critical essay on this poem as well as "Design", and "Nothing Gold Can Stay". Some of the comments displayed on this page make sense. But some, however, seem to be complete nonsense, with some as a mix of both. I understand this as being about the end of the world, but I am still a tad bit lost on what this actual context of the poem is leading up to. Is it literally the world, or is it just describing it? Thank you for the help thus far. I'd love to stay updated. Thanks.
