At The Wedding March is quoted in Act II of The Drawer Boy by Michael Healey, and I'm unclear as to the reason for it's inclusion. Can anyone EXPLAIN the relationship it has to the story?

It seems to me the reason Angus quotes this poem in The Drawrer Boy is because he always had it in his head the he would quote it (or did quote it, depending on where you are in the play) at the double wedding. He has waited for years (since not returning the book) to recite it and at the end of the play he finally has broken through the truth enough to find the clarity to say it in its entirety.

Does anyone have any further ideas about the reason the playwright included it?
