The meter of this poem reflects the innocence of youth and unrequited love. This is further enhanced by the use of simplistic terms like the 'sour lemon moon'. It is like a careful reflection of a bitter moment frozen in time.

In her own anticipation, she is vanquished even before the battle began. That smell of a hunch, however did not prevented her to try to be loved, aroused but instead fail.
