I'm a chinese student, we have somewhat a kind of homework
called Duty Report, a fucking homework, I hate it so much, but I have to finish it. so I chose this poem"Fog". That's really a good poem.

I reckon the fog ain't actually fog at all. Maybe its pain... or love or the memory of some dame?

Good call on that TS Eliot, Lisa G. Prufrock has got to be in my top 3 favorite poems of all time.

I compared Eliot's "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" to Sandburg's "Fog" and I find "Fog" a lot better. Prufrock refers to the fog as being yellow so my imagery of "Prufrock" is yellow. However, my imagery of "Fog" opened up to more possibilities and colors. I find it on a personal level that "Fog" is better even though Eliot used consonance and Sandburg did not even rhyme. The reason I find "Fog" to be better is because it is a shorter poem. Shorter poems have more meaning because you have to fit meaning, power, imagery and as well as allusion into just a few words as opposed to alot of words.

this poem is good . I dont usualy think much about poems because they are pretty stupid, in my opinion but i kinda get the feeling of why people write poenms now, to like let go of thier wussey emotions.

the fog com s on little cat feet looking over harbor and city on haunches then moves on this is my very very favorite poem because its so beutiful
