Sorry my subject is long, but i found those lines highly significant. I don't kow much about anne sexton herself, but she is certainly writing about an experience in an eating disorders unit/hospital. did she have an eating disorder? if so, did she go to a hospital? anyways, these lines indicate the dangerous pride that the ''moving dead'' feel in their talent for self destruction as they 'push their bones against the thrust for cure.'' in addition, i cannot tell id Dr. Martin should be seen as a christ figure or as the antichrist...
