I learned this poem at school and it always touched me - now I live in Sussex and feel the same way about the Sussex Downs as Belloc did.

As a child I lived and grew up on the Sussex Downs. When I moved to the Midlands 4 years ago my father sent me this poem which has remained my favourite ever since.
