the poem is about the simularity of art to science as embodied by music and the 'twelve speed bike'.

But more specifically it is to do with process of a actually writing the balance of rhyme, meter etc and the simularity between the physical balancing of riding a bike.

I believe this poem is principally about love, but instead of a direct expression it's couched in scientific terms, like a metaphysical poem. I like the pun on "move" as in "emotionally moving". Very John Donne.
