(I'm sure everyone knows that the silver leaf is a minnow, dying with a red DROP of blood)

This to me epitomizes Mary Oliver as a nature poet. She verbalizes glory of nature as well as anyone and always has that little stabbing needle about the fragility of life.

What an understatement!!-"As long as you don't mind a little dying."

The world is both precious and hopeless at the same time.

I get charged with a joi de vivre everytime I see one of her poems. Thanks for posting it.
