All beauty and embellishments are pointless in any monetary or utilitarian sense:

"bright random useless"

"weeds without value
humorous beautiful weeds."

...But they do have a certain value. they are what bring joy to life, what make life worth living.

And, I'd suggest also, they are never the planned thing either. What is more spontaneous than a weed? Through the spontenaity of the "weeds" in our lives we get all the color, all the deeper meaning in life.
