Is Cumming's critiquing his own poetry in this? It seems to me that he's saying that though his poems appear noble and "tall" they are still shallow and "ignorant" and it is you, the reader, that puts the brilliance into them, for you are a "princess", and give them value with your own love, and they are but tools of yours to be used to bring beauty to others in the dusk of the day.
