i feel like this poem is about the loss of faith in the new age of technology.

i think that this poem brings out the stuggle that Arnold faced with the changes of the new modern society, and how he no longer knew his place in life with God and Faith because science had replaced the modern aspect that was God. he expresses that the man in the window sees beauty and then is reminded by the almients in life and that leads him to believe the despair that is the new world.-Thanks
