I am always amazed by the immense, bittersweet beauty of this poem's feeling of resignation and tranquility, as well as its very unusual rhyming. And in case you don't know, the central tenet of Buddhism is that one must give up all one's desires and personal connections to people and things on Earth in ORDER to move on to enlightmenment and freedom FROM the pains of life.

This is my absolute favorite Sylvia Plath poem. I just think its soo beautiful. Sorry...no point really...just had to share it.
