Consummation Of Grief

Charles Bukowski

My friend didn't know she needed to wear glasses until she was sixteen. When she saw the world in perfect focus, she was struck by how terribly ugly people are close up and won't wear them any more.

The world is best viewed through eyes or a brain that is slightly out of focus. Bukowski (unfortunately for him) has an incredibly sharp mind.

This, Chris, is quite possibly where the love for Bukowski lies.

That's a damn funny story, too.
